Mixed Media Works

At Otter & Company, we enjoy non traditional interpretations of photographic images. Creating novel constructions that represent an emotional place rather than the traditional expected imagery is a direction that we welcome in all of our work. The image above is a translation of ‘place’ representing an area in Dutchess County where animals and farms abound.

Oaxaca, Mexico

Oaxaca, Mexico. October 31 – November 3, 2010. Witnessing the Jimenez Bautista family reunion. It was quite a moving journey home with Andres and Fabiola who had not visited family in 12 years, having to remain in the US while their ‘green card’ applications were processed. Neither of their two children had ever laid eyes on their grandparents and for two weeks, they will be able to come to know one another well. This was a momentous trip and bearing witness to the joy it brought was a gift I will long remember.
